Web hosting is your online space or drive to keep your data
(mostly for and website related) somewhere in world to have access from
internet. Often you see your mail is 10mb used of 1gb. This is best example for
web hosting. Companies like gmail, yahoo, hotmail and other offer free hosting
for email purposes but most of the organization, companies, and individuals buy
their own hosting for mailing as well as websites.
Hosting widely used for creating websites; when you open any
site and see pictures and text over there – these files contain some KBS or MBS
and are hosted online. Normal website take less space and big sites take high
spaces. These hosting are given from online servers (that are equipped with
hard disks). When you buy hosting; company charge some price & give you
ordered hosting, let say 5gb.
Types of Hosting Drives
In present, two drives are being used for online hosting.
First is SATA drive and Second is SSD drive. SATA is old technology where as
SSD is new and latest technology. It is 3 times faster than SATA Drive based
hosting.

There are three major types of hosting.
Shared Hosting: You are given some space in your folder from
drive which is shared with different people.
VPS: You are full access to that drive. For example C: D: E:
Dedicated Server: You are full owner of your online hard
drive. C, D, E or many other partitioned drives are your own. You can use it
fully.
